Running and Walking shoes are generally built to last 300 to 400 miles or up to six months. By that time, the cushioning and support features of the shoe have begun to break down significantly.
No appointment is needed, just walk in anytime during our normal operating hours (Etown M-F 10-6 pm, Sat 10-4 pm and Cville M-F 10-5 pm, Sat 10-3pm) Bring in your current running or walking shoes if available. If you wear orthotics or another type of insert, bring those too.
We will ask specific questions about your goals, injuries, and type of activities you will be utilizing your new shoes for. We will then proceed to conduct a professional Foot Scan and gait analysis utilizing our AETREX 3D scanner to identify pressure points, precise foot sizing which in turn helps us evaluate the fit and type of shoe that is best for you. This process is FREE with the purchase of footwear or Orthotics, if not there is a $10 fee.
When it comes to running and walking shoes, you must choose function over fashion. We’ll bring you a selection of shoes that best meet your needs.
Our shoes range from $120 to $180 average pricing. While you can find cheaper shoes at big box stores, we only choose to carry styles that will give our customers the quality and cushion necessary for a great experience. We consider our footwear selection to be of "commercial grade' quality and the reason most local Doctors, Podiatrists and Therapists always recommend us to ensure quality of product and results to keep you moving healthy.

Running shoes are just sized differently than other shoes, even other athletic shoes. You also need about a thumb’s width of room between your longest toe and the front of the running shoe for the footwear to function properly. Expect your running or walking shoes to be from 1/2 to 2 sizes larger than your other shoes. Sizing can also vary from brand to brand, as well as style to style within the same brand.
No. Because our employees are highly trained, we are able to provide a quality fitting process for your shoes, inserts, bras, and other products.
